Henderson County is
the "Hill Country" of East Texas...
As you leave the Dallas
Metroplex to our West on US 175, you pass through Kaufman
County and then reach our borders. You will pass Cedar Creek Lake which is a
favorite
recreational area in Henderson County. There are also other lakes in the regions
like
Lake Athens and Lake Palestine. The lakes are one reason this area is so popular,
but the rolling terrain with beautiful trees & lush pastures of area properties &
ranches
are the reason that Henderson County is the East TX version of the "Hill
Country".
There are many reasons for
moving to Henderson County. The Primary reason is
the Quality of Life. The pace is slower in the country, but Athens has a
population

County. Tyler is a city of over 80,000 which includes most of the dining and
shopping
conveniences of the Dallas Metroplex area without the congestion.
